Skyreach Outpost: the first hours decide everything

May 29, 2026 · Marek Dvořák

Skyreach Outpost is most fun — and most punishing — in its opening hours, when space is tight and every tile counts. The layout you commit to early is surprisingly hard to undo, so a little planning pays off for a long time.

Keep power close to what it feeds. I scattered generators at first and spent ages routing power across the station. Clustering production with its power source freed up tiles I badly needed later.

Watch resident needs before they complain. Each one has quirks, and an unhappy resident drags down the whole platform. A couple of well-placed shared amenities early kept morale steady far longer than I expected.

Don't rush to expand. More platforms sound great, but they also mean more to power and maintain. We got the most out of Skyreach by mastering one tight platform before unlocking the next.
