Shaving seconds in Neon Drift Rally time trials
Neon Drift Rally clicked for me the moment I stopped braking into corners. The game is tuned so a good drift carries more speed than a cautious brake, and once you trust that, lap times tumble.
Start with a lighter car. They spin out easier, yes, but they also enter drifts sooner, which means you can hold a line through those long neon curves instead of fighting them.
The ghost mode is the best coach in the game. Race your own best lap and watch exactly where it pulls ahead — usually it's one corner you're taking too conservatively. Fix that single corner and the whole lap improves.
Don't chase the perfect run every attempt. Consistency beats one lucky lap. My best times came from laps where I was slightly slow but never spun out, and that's a mindset the time trials quietly teach you.
