About
OtterKit started as a group chat where four friends kept swapping screenshots of mobile games and arguing about which ones were worth the storage space. At some point the notes got too long for a chat, so we moved them here. Everything you read is written after we've actually finished (or nearly finished) the game.
We don't chase every release. A game lands on the site only if at least two of us have played it for a real stretch — not a ten minute trial. We care about how a game feels on a mid-range phone, how fair the progression is, and whether the controls fall apart during a bus ride.
Our guides lean practical. Instead of listing stats you'll never read, we try to explain the one or two decisions that actually change how a run goes. If a game has a confusing early stretch, that's usually where we spend the most words.
We're independent. Nobody pays us to like a game, and we say so when something disappoints us. The goal is simple: help you decide what to install, and help you get unstuck once you do.
